As an Area Sales Manager , you'll lead a high-performing sales team, drive business growth, build strong distributor relationships, and execute sales strategies to expand our OTC business.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive primary and secondary sales to achieve business targets within the assigned territory.
• Manage and develop a team of Area Sales Executives (ASEs) through coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.
• Monitor sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
• Develop and execute territory business plans to maximize market potential.
• Ensure product availability and strong retail coverage through effective distributor management.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor competition, customer feedback, and market opportunities.
• Review product-wise sales forecasts and ensure forecast accuracy.
• Conduct retailer market surveys and maintain market hygiene.
• Recruit, induct, train, and develop field sales personnel.
• Build a highly motivated sales team while ensuring low attrition.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
• 4–8 years of sales experience in OTC, Consumer Healthcare, FMCG, or Pharma .
• At least 1–2 years of experience managing a field sales team .
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience in distributor and channel management.
• Good analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
